It seems unkind to feature a scarf in August, but it's freakin' freezing in my office what with the air conditioning and all, so I am guessing there are other less-than-warm-blooded people shivering away the same as me. This fun scarf is just the thing. And of course it will come in handy in the cooler months as well. And let's face it, every month is going to be a cool month when you have this beauty slung around your neck. $40 at Nerd Alert Creations.
Have I mentioned that it's almost summer? Probably. In summer, I switch from my cool-weather beverage (scotch) to a refreshing gin and soda. With lime. And now, possibly with socks. You know, so I can just flash an ankle at the bartender and he'll know what I want. $10 at Sourpuss.
I just discovered Pocksie the other day and I was utterly flabbergasted that I hadn't come across it before. I am a pockets over pocketbook sort of girl, but so many of my clothes just don't have the necessary storage for the modern woman on the go. Enter Pocksie. Temporary stick on pockets. Slap one inside your cardi to hold your lip balm. Maybe even put one on the inside of your skirt to keep emergency cash on hand for a night out. $9.99 for six at Beauty.com.
I'm not a big fan of wearing shrugs, but this one might turn me into one. I love the look of this Little Wing shrug, it makes you look like an angel. It's a really cool idea turned into reality. I love small businesses, so creative! This beautiful shrug is $125 at Celapiu.
I love companies that do a one for one deal with charities. But if you buy this shirt, the company will donate THIRTY meals to hungry kids. And I love the sentiments expressed on the shirt as well. It comes in several colors and there are a lot of different quotes to chose from. $20 at Feed Just One.
Ok, I guess I'm on some weird clothing kick the past few posts but how can I resist. Sometimes it's hard going into those extremely sexy lingerie stores, everything looks painful. But how about something sexy, where your guy can push all the right buttons? Then try out this hand painted Xbox controller bra! There are many many styles to choose from if the video game controller is too much for you. $40 at Sceene Shoes.
It's only November 1st, but it's time to start thinking about Christmas! Not just the shopping, but what you are going to wear to the office Christmas party. Look no more...although it was hard to pick just one to show you. Get yourself this Ugly Christmas Sweater and no one will ever forget it. This one has everything but the kitchen sink on it! This one is $33 at Keriblue4.
So you're pregnant and you want something cool to wear on Halloween. How about this really cool Halloween maternity skeleton t-shirt? You can even have a bow on the baby skeleton if it's a girl and they also have shirts for twins. This one is $32.99 at Babytalk Designs.
Typically I am the birdie who posts "Cool Guy Things", and hey, some guys might love this, but it's aimed towards those who wear skirts. I came across this etsy store and thought it was pretty genius. I am not much of a skirt person and often, when I do wear them, I feel a little more exposed than I would like to. So these slips with their extended hems seem like an excellent solution. Add a few inches to that skirt you love, just by slipping (heh...slipping) one of these pretties on underneath. There is a variety of styles, so you are likely to find one that matches or contrasts nicely. And they are quite reasonably priced. This pink one is currently on sale for $24 at a Slip Shop.
That's right - wolves never cry unless someone says something mean to them. Love this funny t-shirt and all the t-shirts and prints available in this shop. Available in both men and women sizes. $25 at Sebastien Millon
This super cute wedding dress has an embroidered collar and waist bow in a customizable color. Plus you can wear a regular bra with it, which makes it a winner in my book. Measurements also customizable. Te shop carries several nifty dresses worth checking out. $1,000 The Peppermint Pretty

So I'm in the market for a new apron. Have a handmade one that's run it's gamut and is ready to be replaced. While doing a little window shopping online I came across the mother of all aprons. Check out this Wonder Woman apron! I always wanted to don the Wonder Woman outfit for Halloween but never did, and now it's impossible for me to fit in one. This is the next best thing (and I would fit in it ;-) ) $35 (on sale) at Modern Vintage Designs.
Pattern and Paw just debuted a new line of fun pet themed t-shirts. This Cone Cat T-shirt is one we can all relate too. Wear this shirt and people will laugh at you all day. It's all good! $16.95 at Pattern and Paw.
Is there a pint-sized (or ogre-sized) book enthusiast in your life? How about a great tee to show off their literary prowess? With a great selection of classic titles to choose from (everything from Huxley's Brave New World, to Orwell's '84, and Salinger's Catcher, to Lee's ...Mockingbird ) --some are even available as fleece sweatshirts. The cherry? For every (awesome) shirt that is purchased, one book is donated to a community in need. Now that's a truly great gift that keeps on giving. $22 and up at Out of Print.
The designer calls this embroidered beauty a long shirt, but it's long enough to wear as a dress. Gorgeous black and red design that can be customized to fit your measurements (including plus sizes). Just convo the designer. $59 at Xiaolizi
If i have to say anymore than "EVIL...OCOTPUS...PIRATE" to you before you are clicking on this link and buying this t-shirt, then...I guess it's not the t-shirt for you. But for the rest of you...it's awesome. I just saw the title in an email and had to see it right away. I don't know what part is the best...the evil? The octopus? The pirate? Actually, I think I like the stripes. And hey, the price! T-shirts are getting waaaay expensive these days! This one is a bargain at $22 at Shanalogic.
I grew up loving Hello Kitty so when I typed in "Killer" on Etsy and this Hello Kitty Submachine Gun T-Shirt, I had to post it. $12.75 at Gyoja Busho.

You know how most of your friends and family just don't get
you and your internet thing and have no idea how involved you are or how big
it's gotten? Kirsten Wright and Shari
Bonnin (one of your Rare Bird Finds writers) have designed a t-shirt (nice ones
in hot pink or turquoise) with the slogan "I'm A Pretty Big Deal On The Internet".
Let me sell you some more. You know you’re a pretty big deal when your blog or your Twitter has so many followers it amazes you. Oops, I forgot to mention the coupon code for the zombie t-shirts I reviewed today. Save 25%! Use coupon code rarebirdfinds
I updated the review with the code, but wanted to make sure the code popped up for those of you viewing us via your feeds.
Naarrgghh! (that's zombie for hello) I've recently fallen onto the zombie bandwagon, and love that it's not all brains, guts and gore, but also a healthy dose of humor. My most recent find are the delightful zombie parody T-shirts made by the ZILF Association of Graveyard Enthusiasts (Zilfage)
The kind graveyard enthusiasts at ZILF asked me what T-shirt of theirs would I like to receive, and honestly I had the hardest time choosing. I'm an Elvis fan and loved the Ghouls Rush In T-shirt. Then there is the Audrey Hepburn T-shirt in all her Breakfast at Tiffany's glory looking all rotten yet still highly glamorous. James Dean becomes Rebel Without a Face (because of decay, of course!), and there's the T-shirt with the sweet sentiment, "Make Love...Not Barricades" (hear hear!).
It was like being a zombie made to choose between a variety of appetizing brains, but I gleefully picked The Seventy Year Itch, a T-shirt that takes sexpot Marilyn Monroe's iconic image and turns her into a zombie with peeling skin (due to a very bad itch). It's such a fun, comfy T-shirt. I wore it and got compliments. Yeah!
If you're into zombies, definitely take time to peruse the Zilfage site, read the funny articles, take their quiz, and gain zombie vocabulary skills with their zombie to English dictionary. Good times.
All of these zombie T-shirts come in black and the print design is in eye-catching white. Highly recommended! Shirts come in both men and women's sizes. $20 at Zilfage

Girlz Lyfe has so many goodies that I honestly found it so tough to pick my favorites. There is the Sugar Skull with Flowers tote that is just fabulous; the sweet cartoon dog phone; the super cool Russian Doll USB flash drive; the incredibly funny Pup Doogy Puparazzi Chew Toy; or the strangely hip and practical mini popcorn vacuum - oh the choices are endless! But I narrowed it down to my top four:One of my fave finds on the site is the unisex Houdini necklace. It's fabulous because it features a vintage Houdini poster charm in a brilliant red matched with a pair of pewter handcuffs. It's a conversation starter and one that you can wear with all your casual outfits.
I am a T-shirt fiend, and I think I found my new favorite T-shirt in this shop. The "I Live Under Your Bed" T-shirt is so fun and cute. Best of all, it glows in the dark! How awesome is that?
Uhm, hello, Hello Kitty fans! These Hello Kitty UK key caps are super adorable. I especially love the Hello Kitty with the Union Jack face. Now, those will make your keys rock!
I love, love, LOVE this "Can I Keep It?" Monster field bag. It comes in seven different colors and it's perfect for casual, lazy days to tote around your stuff. Plus, it's sooooo cute. Prepare for compliments! Honestly, I think I am going to pick one of these up for myself!
Don't walk - run, hurry, and check out this shop for cool finds that will make the perfect gift for your friends, family and co-workers this holiday season (and let us not forget, gifts for you, you, you!). No joke, I'm seriously about to buy some stuff from this site - oh field bag, you're going to be mine, mine, mine.
