UNIQUE LA - This Weekend!

Birdies, I'm so sorry I've been really bad at posting this week. I've been prepping and making products like mad for the 2-day Unique LA show this weekend, and the the 2-day Renegade show next weekend. I'm barely getting sleep and hardly even eating, either! Hopefully I'll be able to get back on schedule next week. I appreciate your understanding!

If you're in the Los Angeles area, please drop by Unique LA this weekend. Deets are on the Unique LA page. There will be more than 300 vendors selling mostly handmade but all made in America products - woo! Perfect for the holidays. More than 20,000 people went to last year's holiday Unique LA. It's a crazy fun event. The tickets at the door are $10 which includes drinks, DIY workshops and more. BUT you have a chance to score 2 free tickets. On my Whiffs of Whimsy facebook page I have a post giving away two tix. Just gotta be the first one to comment. Look for the third post down on the Whiffs of Whimsy Facebook wall and comment under the Unique LA post.

Unique LA | State of Unique - Dec. 3 & 4 in Los Angeles

Unique LA is December 3 & 4 from 11am to 6pm at The California Market Center located at 110 East Ninth Street in downtown Los Angeles. $10 at the door gets you an exclusive tote, unlimited entry for both days, free drinks and a hosted bar, DIY workshops and free photos at a photo booth.

Patchwork - Indie Arts and Crafts Festival

This weekend, Sunday, November 6, is the awesome Patchworks show in Long Beach at Marine Stadium (Bayshore @ Appian). I went last year as a shopper, and it was so much fun. It's right by the water and all the locally made goods were amazing. Lots of "rare bird finds!" This year I'll be a vendor, so please drop by the Whiffs of Whimsy booth (shared with my friend James who makes cool T-shirts) and say hiii. If Long Beach isn't local for you, there will be shows in Culver City and Santa Ana the following weekends with different vendors. Apply to be a BUST Magazine Craftacular Vendor at Maker Faire New York

Are you crafty?  If you're making some neat goods in your home or studio, and you live near New York City, consider applying for the BUST magazine craftacular.  This outdoor fair takes place on Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, NY.  Applications to be a vendor are being taken right now through August 15th.  If you get in, please let us know and we'll feature you on our blog.  Good luck!

Renegade Craft Show Los Angeles - This Weekend!

Boston Bazaar Bizarre: June 19th

Handmade Crafts, music, art demos, and more will be featured at this year's annual summer fair in Union Square!

What: 50 vendors selling handmade works from clothing, children's accessories to animal accessories. There will also be local artisans demonstrating art and craft techniques.

Where: Somerville's Union Square

When: Sunday, June 19th from 12pm to 6pm

How much?: It's free to the public!

Transportation: Local car-share company ZipCar will be offering transportation to some shoppers who need a lift nearby. Union Square is accessible by MBTA bus or a 15-20 minute walk from the Red Line T (Central, Harvard, Porter), or Orange Line Sullivan Station. Buses going through the square include the 86, 87, and 91, and the 69 or 83 run a few blocks over.

A rain date of Sunday June 26th has been reserved in case of inclement conditions.

Unique LA - May 7 & 8 in Downtown Los Angeles

 

Unique LA is this weekend in downtown Los Angeles!

Location: California Market Center’s Penthouse (110 E 9th St)

Cost: $10 at the door or in advance (kids 12 and under are free)

325 vendors!  If you've ever been in the past, you know how crazy good this show can be - and how much your wallet will hate you for it!  Perfect place to look for Mother's Day gifts, or even gifts for yourself :)

I'll be there at the Coldwater Canyon Provisions booth helping my friend Rondo sell his amazing jams and preserves on Saturday.  Drop by and say hello!  Or take a taste sample of his yummy, award-winning jams, chutneys and pickles!

Artisanal LA Spring Show - Sat. April 16 - Sun. April 17, 2011

If you live in Santa Monica or near it in Southern California and you love handcrafted food items, consider visiting the Artisanal LA Spring Show this weekend.  I'll be there on Saturday handing out samples for Coldwater Canyon Provisions, which makes the yummiest handcrafted (and award-winning!) jams and preserves.  See you there!
