A guy once told me that he thought the best scent in the world is the smell of books. And although I love books, and I read a lot...I can't agree. That papery, musty, inky smell drives me crazy, but not in a good way. However, I do think this book scented candle might make a good gift for my friend. Or for someone who wants to smell smarter. $45 at Assouline.

It's almost St. Patrick's Day! Well, it's close so if you think you might be interested in beer and pretzel marshmallows dyed green, you better get cracking! And if you don't think you might be interested, first of all, I am sorry we are no longer friends. And second of all, can't I convince you to think again? It's a fluffy, handmade, beer flavored marshmallow (dyed green), dipped in milk chocolate and topped with a crumbled pretzel/beer brittle. Ah, if only I could fit beer into that description one more time! And! And! On top of all that wonderment, a portion of the proceeds goes to a program dedicated to converting abandoned lots into community green spaces to beautify Chicago's neighborhoods. And I also still want to be friends so let's just get these, ok? 4 pieces for $10 at Truffle Truffle.

Take a look at this Omiyage Ladybug Bag. It's not a huge bag, but good enough to carry the everyday type of stuff. It's just way to freakin' cute. The wings can stay open or you can close them.
