i actually bought a pair quite similar to this some time ago. i wore them to school and my vice principal confiscated them. her reason for doing so wasn't even because i was a possible threat to other students but because we're in an all-girls catholic high school and such an item falls under earrings for men.
this pair is definitely something i'm going to look at for my brother.
