I have visited Amsterdam twice, and absolutely loved it. And the one thing I crave SO BAD from there are the Stroopwafels! They are cookie sort of things, with two thin wafers with a buttery caramel syrup in between. They might not look like anything special but trust me...you will want to send me flowers after you taste these. $5.19 at Holland's Best

My daughter was stationed in the Netherlands for three years and her son was even born there. She and her husband love stroop wafels. You can find them at Trader Joes. They usually have them in a round Delft print tin as well as mini wafels in a bag.
